After renovation, which included pointing up the stone work, replacing every window, and piecing together thousands of sections of original woodwork, the building was opened again as a career development center. 1999 Associated General Contractors of America Safety Award Whitney East Incorporated (Rochester) has been presented a Certificate of Commendation for Safety Excellence by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). The award was presented at the recent Annual Meeting of the General Building Contractors of New York State (GBC) in Cooperstown.
The GBC represents about 185 general contractors engaged in public and private commercial, and industrial construction throughout New York State. "The common denominator of our membership," said Zogg "is that they possess skill, integrity, and responsibility. A commitment to safety is a strong sign of these qualities."
